CAPCBC’s mission is to eliminate and prevent all forms of child abuse and neglect through awareness, advocacy and education.

Our annual report gives us an opportunity to share our accomplishments and express our thanks to our supporters as well as look towards the future. In this past fiscal year we experienced many opportunities in our community. Some of the highlights are:

·         Pierre the Pelican newsletter served over 600 families by sending 2,773 newsletters out during 2010.

·         Baby Basics was presented to almost 571 students in Barry County.

·         The Family Workshop Series was presented to 256 adults and 135 children.

·         372 “What to Expect the First Year” books were placed with new parents.

·         73 individuals were trained in “Mandated Reporting”.

·         51 crib, 4 mattresses and 17 toddler beds were placed with families.

The following is an overview of the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Barry County’s income and expenses for the fiscal year ending December 31st, 2010:

The Child Abuse Prevention Council of Barry County is tax-exempt under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
